From our “statements we never want to see in an email from a U.S. Representative” file:

“We would ask that you not broadcast this accomplishment out to any of your lists, even if they are ‘supporters’… Thus far, it seems that no press or blogs have discovered it… The longer this goes unnoticed, the better our chances of keeping it.”  — Rep. Earl Blumenauer, (D-Ore.)

This cryptic missive issued by the gentleman from Oregon refers to the reintroduction — by Medicare regulation — of an Obamacare proposal to pay “practitioners” — §1233 (2(a)) doesn’t require “practitioner” to mean “medical school graduate” — to annually push people to consider shuffling off the final steps of their mortal coil. While end-of-life counseling became a part of Medicare during the Bush Administration, the Obamacare regulation to which Blumenauer referred in that spooky email introduces the grading and payment of “practitioners” who even the Democrat-controlled New York Times acknowledges must:

“…advise patients on options for end-of-life care, which may include advance directives to forego aggressive life-sustaining treatment.”

The same “pay-for-slay” plan was actually a part of the original version of Obamacare. After Republicans discovered the planned introduction of “death panels,” the proposal was dropped to facilitate passage of the largest government intrusion into the private sector since William Howard Taft went to the grocery store.

Now, thanks to some Blumenauer staffer’s electronic indiscretion, we learn the Democrats are planning to circumvent the legislative process and return section 1233′s allowance of annual “ready to die yet?” consultations to legal status through the regulation-writing process.

The revelation of said email raises a couple of noteworthy questions, foremost among them:

“…if this is such a grand idea, then why are Democrats trying to hide it?”

The “Death Panels”

December 27, 2010

We, thus far, have been concerned about the right end of the life line, the older folks.  If you can imagine a bell curve describing the productive work force, those that produce income, therefore taxes, as the group at the center, these are the ones who would receive preferred treatment options, there are the very young at the left end of the line.  These are the children that cannot yet work and are only ‘users’, not producers just like the elderly at the far right. (We are non-producing users of resources in the eyes of those establishing this policy, therefore expendable.)  These young cancer patients whose heart wrenching pictures we see periodically will have their benefits and treatments drastically reduced because they are not yet, and many will never be, fully productive.  I am at the right of the curve as are some of you, but a friend of ours has a 8 or 9 year old granddaughter with leukemia who would be denied treatment under these panels.  This is a purely socialist idea – designed to eliminate non-producers.  Most humanists or leftist progressives are not friendly toward children and advocate abortion without limit, even as one Prof at Harvard states, no punishment for killing a child until age two because they aren’t yet human in his estimation.  Also, annual discussions with your physician is only the beginning, look up the medical philosophy of Ezekiel Emmanuel who is Mr. Obama’s medical advisor.

Conservatives must be aware we haven’t won anything yet, we are within reach of the goal line but the leftist defense is stiffening, and they will do anything, including lying, cheating and stealing (They assured us this section was taken out of the Bill.) to avert a Conservative victory. True  Conservatives have one portion of one party in the House of Rep.’s but the White House and Senate are still in Liberal hands.  Practically speaking, all we Conservatives can hope for is to defund many of these programs, since the House is the starting point for spending bills and 2012 is politically a long way off!.

Our God is Sovereign and He is our Heavenly Father.  Pray, work, and trust Him to give us wisdom and peace in this terrible political storm.  God turned the heart of the King of Persia to benefit the Israelites and He can turn the hearts of our representative government in Washington if we seek Him.
